Pattern Ge-Beak
I would like to ask members where the turning kick in this pattern should be performed. I have recently achieved my black belt and I am learning this pattern however i have seen a variety of source material that says differing things.
The turning kick I wish to know is at movement 22, jst before the flying side kick.
Is the kick performed in front or at a 45 degree angle

Re: Pattern Ge-Beak
The turning kick (as i have been taught), is targeted at a 45 degree angle. Turning kicks should as a general rule be fired off at a slight angle as opposed directly to the front. Although turning kicks can be targetd directly in front of the individual, its as in Choong Moo and Hwa Rang.
You could also ask your instructor as there are many different interpretations that sprout up from different instructors.
